Rural
Runabout
The Rural Runabout is a service for the people of Whitmore, Hill and
Chapel Chorlton, Madeley, Keele, Maer and Aston resulting from an
initiative by the Parish Councils of these communities.
Councillor Howells has asked for the New Road traffic gateway at "Margarine
Corner" to be completed as soon as possible.
Rural Buses
Confirmation has been received by Ashley Howells that the County Council
will continue to subsidise buses serving Onneley and Leycett until the
year end. Ashley says " My talks with the County will continue to
keep the buses running into 2001 and beyond".

There are regular buses serving Madeley.
D & G route 85a Newcastle to Crewe and back which also travels through Keele University.
