Proposed Re-opening of Madeley Railway Station
The Association of Train Operating Companies are assessing the possibility of re-opening Madeley railway station. This will be a positive direction for sustainable transport within and without of this village to have the return of this important facility for the community will be a bonus. Anyone travelling from Crewe to Manchester or Liverpool will see the benefits of opening new local stops along those lines has had. Many people in this community without their own transport will be able to easily reach towns and cities throughout the country. A shopping trip or commute for work to Stafford will be possible without several bus exchanges and lengthy waits for connections. Airports will be easily accessable avoiding expensive taxi fares. Although only in proposal stage at the moment the possibility looks good when weighed against the shortlist of candidates. For further information click here. To join in a discussion on this subject.
